More About Me - Dr. Nick Santos
Hey everyone!
I’m excited to announce that I am going to begin writing a blog that will discuss a variety of different topics. Some of these topics include; but are not limited to: causes of back pain, ergonomics, exercise and nutrition. I would love to write about what my readers would like to know, so questions, comments, concerns and requests are always welcome.
Before I really dive into the rabbit hole, I figured I would tell you all a little more about myself.
First thing you should know about me is that I am an avid Chicago sports fan. I grew up playing little league baseball and eventually found my way into golf and middle school wrestling. As I began wrestling at a higher level, I introduced the possibility of more injuries, which certainly came with time. This is also how I first found my way into chiropractic care and how I developed a passion for wanting to help people (we’ll get into this during a later post). High school wrestling then led to college when I attended North Central College in Naperville, IL. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and had a successful wrestling career that culminated in a trip to the NCAA tournament to end up being one win short of All-American status.
After graduating undergrad, I began my postgraduate education in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences outside of Chicago, IL. After four long years of studying, I earned my degree, and made my way west to San Francisco. August of this year was a crazy busy month for me in the form of getting married to my high school sweetheart, Mallory, graduating Chiropractic school and moving halfway across the country.
My hobbies and interests include getting outdoors and exploring, hiking, fishing, cooking and exercise. A typical weekend for me includes hiking with our dog – Winnie. Or experimenting in the kitchen with some new dishes.
Thanks for reading a little bit about me, if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below. See ya in the next post!
